Every Wednesday evening Wave Street Studios welcomes Yogi Sukhamandir Singh. The practice of kundalini yoga consists of a number of bodily postures, expressive movements and utterances, characterological cultivations, breathing patterns, and degrees of concentration. None of these postures and movements should, according to scholars of Yoga be considered mere stretching exercises or gymnastic exercises.Kundalini Yoga is sometimes called “the Yoga of Awareness” because it awakens the “kundalini” which is the unlimited potential that already exists within every human being.Practitioners believe that when the infinite potential energy is raised in the body it stimulates the higher centers, giving the individual enhanced intuition and mental clarity and creative potential. If you are interested in Kundalini Yoga,

Bach Festival July 24th and 31st 11AM

Central Coast Views July 30th 4PM $10

Bach Festival July 24th and 31st 11AM

Friday, July 31st - Strangefeather - 8PM - $10

Wave Street Studios Presents Strangefeather
090731_strangefeather.jpg Strangefeather is a new incarnation of the classic American rock band. Red, white, and blue in the truest sense, this road-ready San Francisco-based group is comprised of four musicians and an artist hailing from all corners of the USA. Featuring three songwriters performing three-part harmonies, a family rhythm section, and live painting by Jesse Mosher, Strangefeather brings the honesty and intensity of 60’s and 70’s rock to a new generation without sounding derivative.

These twenty-first century artists pay their dues by playing every kind of gig imaginable, and they will go anywhere to do it. Although the band currently calls San Francisco their headquarters, it’s the rolling highways and continuous roads with endless nightclubs, casinos, and bars along the way where they feel most at home. Their Spring 2009 “Get on the Bus Tour” included 50 gigs over 60 days in 26 states, including renegade generator shows in the parking lots at six Dead concerts. They traveled in a 1964 International Harvester schoolbus (ala the Merry Pranksters) and effortlessly played up to 5 hours of original and cover material nightly. The band is currently in the studio working on their second album and are planning another US tour in August ‘09.

Together the group’s members have a collective experience of over 40 years playing live music, yet none are more than 30 years of age. Individually, they have shared stages with Steve Miller, Bruce Hornsby, Booker T. Jones, Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Marc Ford (The Black Crowes), Steve McKay (Iggy Pop and the Stooges), Sal Valentino (Beau Brummels), The Breeders, The Mother Hips, Jackie Greene, Jerry Garcia Band, and many more.

Tuesday, Aug 4th: Dirrick Williams “Tic-Tac-Toe - Philosophy to Happier, Stronger, and more Purposeful Life.” 7PM

7pm-9pm at Wave Street Studios Tickets $10
Dirrick Williams Testimonials from past program participants:

“… a 20-30 minute public presentation was enough for me to know it is a program/process I want to activate in my own life.”
A. Kisselburg, San Diego, Ca.

“The benefits of this knowledge results in more peace and harmony in your relationships and accomplishments, knowing you are lined up with God’s intended purpose for your life”
D. Zamperi, Barre, VT.

“PL is a plateau to utilize in beginning ones personal relationship with God and it’s also a step towards maintaining balance in ones life.”
M. L. Wright, Atlanta, Ga.

“Its not about religion, its about Spirit. This is so rare in a world where we draw lines across religion and keep people “out” of a process that could improve the quality of their life simply because their impression and understanding of God is different.”
D. Sabornia, Escondido, Ca.
